This is the Fourth collaboration with Slovakian shoe makers Novesta and Universal Works.
For the winter collaboration, they have used a traditional Portuguese fabric called Burel, which is a melton wool from the mountains of Portugal, that is woven and then felted to make it weather resistant and highly durable. The traditional Novesta uppers have been reworked slightly to suit this durable, functional fabric that works well as an alternative to suede, and looks brilliant fused to that classic Novesta chunky sole unit.
Handmade since the 1930’s in central Slovakia, Novesta are a European classic. Their iconic Dribble silhouette is made with humble machinery that presses the natural rubber soles onto the uppers avoiding the use of toxic shoe glues. So these beauties are friendly on your feet and our precious planet.
